Wrench Force Classic Repair Stand

The Wrench Force Work stand was one item I could not wait to test out, this thing just looked impressive and I have been wanting to get my hands on a work stand for quite some time. Luckily it worked as well and now I Have one in hand. I just had to work on my bike (which as I get older, is more of a challenge since I am also getting lazier) to try it out.

The major problems that I had with work stands in the past were that they would not hold the bike securely, they were made of plastic, and such to keep down the weight, and reduce cost, not the case here! This thing is rock solid and you can actually work on your bike without it bouncing all over the place. The only plastic piece on it was the cover on the handle that is used to tighten it down, nothing is breaking, flexing, or wobbling on this thing. I could put the bike it any position I wanted to and didn't’t have to worry about the front wheel slowly drifting down towards the floor, like some stands. The clamp was covered with a thick rubber cover, which is very important with the newer seat post getting lighter and lighter everyday. I would not clamp it on a carbon fiber post, the frame, or over any stickers.

I am fortunate enough to have a house, and a basement to store "good" in, but if you live in an apartment, storage is always an issue. personally as a single guy you might not mind it sitting in your living room, but other might not appreciate it (i.e. dates, girlfriends, etc). So luckily you can fold it up, rotate the head and it will slide easily into a closet, underneath a bed or couch.

All in all I would not hesitate to stop by the local shop and pick one of these back boys up, maybe a "how to" book, and a six pack of beer and you should be set.
