Well the 3D Bark'n Boots are the closest thing to running shoes or hiking boots for your dog. Designed for the rocky dry climates of the west coast and the snow and ice covered mountains and the northern plains. We live in Ohio, what, why do I need these. Well since we don't have these extremes climents I was thinking the same thing.
I found these to be the best here in Ohio during the winter time but have not just kept them around for the cold. The salt and gravel is one of the worse things to get up inside of a dogs paw. The edges are just sharp enough that it can dig in and irritate the the bottom of the paw, and any open scatches or rough spots just get plain irritated. Next time you have a cut, dump a little salt on it (seriously, please don't and just take my word for it). Every get nail or tack stuck in your running shoe or bike tire. It pretty much sucks, can you imagine if that was your bare foot. The towpath, country roads, acess roads are all gravel and not fun to walk on, just another great place for the 3D Bark' Boots.
No is the fun part, how in the #$# do I get these on my dog, well if your dog is like mine, good luck. First off make sure the toe nails are trimmed. The boot will fit better. When you first slide the boot on the dog it is a great laugh. You puppy will be prancing around trying to get used to them. After about 5 minutes you will be ready to go. The first few times, watch to make sure they try to get them off. Once they are broke in a little they are pretty much worry free. Although it would be nice to buy them in a five pack (just incase).
