Hot Chillys 2 Layer Tank Bra and Boy Short:
 For all women athletes out there comes the women’s 2-Layer Tank Bra and Women’s Boy short from the folks at Hot Chillys. Although Hot Chillys might be considered a “ski clothing” company, we took their gear off the slopes and put it to use on the roads.
Every female runner needs great, not good, but great sports bras. If the sports bra you’re wearing causes chaffing or allows for excessive vertical movement, it’s time to think about your current inventory. I tested the Women’s 2-layer Tank Bra (#HS4103) and the Women’s Boy Short (#HS4105) from the Hot Chillys Salsa Collection and was very happy with their performance. They were flattering when I tried them on, and they performed well during all my runs.
My first run wearing the new garments was a short one, three miles. There isn’t anything more aggravating than to commit to a long run and then be miserable the entire time because your garments aren’t performing as you expected. During the run, I was very comfortable. The bra and shorts formed nicely to my body and they felt lightweight.
 I was now assured that I could try a longer run without worrying about discomfort. During the remainder of our product review, I tested the bra and shorts on some 7, 9 and 12 mile runs. The straps were wide and didn’t dig into my shoulders, and I had limited vertical movement, which is VERY important to me. One of the functions of the garments is transporting the moisture to keep the skin dry and promote warmth. Along with the bra, the shorts/underwear (worn under my running shorts) were seamless and didn’t rub or chaff my skin even as I began to sweat and the material became wet.
At the end of a run, when I’m ready to clean up and shower, I don’t want to fight with my undergarments to get them off of my sweaty stinky body. The material used in these two products is supportive, but stretchy so they were easy to take off when wet. Hot Chillys anti-microbial protection will not wash out and will keep the garments smelling fresh. This is done with the use of Silver Ionized yarns that are weaved together to create an anti-microbial barrier
