The great-fitting COCONA™ knit cuts the wind and converts to a vest to protect your core when the weather turns a tad warmer. With safety features such as ICE trim and 360 degree reflectivity and conveniences like music-friendly connectivity pocket, this jacket is designed for the beginner to experienced runner and will server as two pieces in your wardrobe.
We put several months on this jacket and it was wonderful, working down into the mid 30's when you were wearing the sleeves. Even though it is a jacket we found ourselves washing it quite a bit and it held up great, we did lose a little bit of reflective tape here and there but nothing major.
The fit is designed for the runner (which it should be) with a tall athletic cut and hey the sleeves are long enough! Thanks to New Balance for looking out for the taller folks. Nothing worse the your sleeves rolling up on a freezing cold day. None of that here!
On the warmer day the COCONA material does a pretty good job of breathing plus you can unzip the sleeves a tad to let in some extra air. Overall warm but still breathable, it is tough to find a varible range jacket but the NB Lightweight Convertible does a good job.
