Name: Henry Hauenstein
Age: 55
The desire to participate in racing began a number of years ago on a Motocross track. A few broken bones and torn ligaments later, I stayed on two wheels but this time on a mountain bike. A few stitches ago, I began competing in triathlons. With a 3rd place finish in my first triathlon (2000 Rock and Roll), I was hooked.
A highlight in my triathlon journey occurred in 2005 with a trip to Denmark to compete in the Long Course Worlds. Another memorable moment was representing Ohio in my age group at the National Senior Olympics in Pittsburgh, PA.
Long Term Goal: To increase running miles (after knee surgery last year) and eventually finish an Ironman.
