2005 was my first year as an endurance athlete. My high school athletic background involved playing linebacker and power forward, and competing in the pentathlon (110m high hurdles, high jump, long jump, shot put and 1500m).
During college I left sports behind and started to become round. I began competing in endurance sports as a way to lead a healthier lifestyle, and I have become addicted.
The bike is definitely my strongest event followed by the swim. Unfortunately, this year I won’t be doing many tris. This year I plan to focus mostly on racing my bike as my schedule isn’t going to permit much training for all three sports.
I have a baby daughter due on May 8th, I graduate from law school on May 18th, and then I take the patent agents exam at the end of May and the Ohio state bar exam at the end of July.
See you at the races!
